Summer assignment
Welcome to AP Physics 1!
This is a college level physics course that is fun, interesting and challenging on a level you’ve not yet experienced. This summer assignment is an introduction to physics, physical quantities and units, precision and significant figures, and approximation. This is all stuff you should already know how to do (basic science skills). It is VERY important that this assignment be completed individually. It will be a total waste of your time to copy the assignment from a friend. You will be given a quiz on the first day of class over this material.
You will need to go to the online textbook at the following site:
OpenStax College Physics for AP Courses
You will need to read all of Chapter 1 (sections 1.1 through 1.4), and complete the Problems & Exercises #1-36 (yes, that is all of them). This is not difficult work, but it will take time. Remember, You will be given a quiz on the first day of class over this material.
If at any time you have questions, please contact me at [email protected].
